Nero 6.6 Question

I am a registered user of Nero 6.6. That said, I'm curious as to what all I can do with it.

I know I can capture video, but can I edit, encode, and author as well? Anyone using Nero 6.6 for this?

You can edit wav's and mp3's.

You can use nero recode to shrink dvd's

You can burn cd's and dvd's.

You can run test's on dvd's.

You can play audio files and video files.

You can create covers.

That is just a small amount of stuff that you can do with Nero.

If you use Nero Recode to shrink DVDS, can you only play that footage on Nero Showtime afterwards?
