I have 10 of those little movies made with a digital camera. When I double click them, the Quick Time player opens and run them perfectly, but when I try to edit them on Final Cut Pro 4, they come without any sound. What happens ? What should I do ?

  2. does FCP beep instead of playing the audio? what if you open the files in the FCP slug? the slug plays anything i throw at it, even files that are wrong.

if the movies play fine in QT with sound, then it could be a audio-setup issue in FCP.

  4. hmm. are they "filename.dv" files? or "filename.mov"?

the slug opens in FCP when you double click on the files either in the FCP browser or the timeline.

are any audio tracks showing up in the timeline?

Dear friend, I don't know if you could notice that english is not my native language by the mistakes I make with gramma...ha,ha,ha. So I still don't understand what the word "slug" means. Sorry. But anyway...when I import the files to FCP it doesn't show any audio track.
