  1. I have forgotten how to do this, so could someone remind me. I have saved this file as a direct stream avi using Virtualdub and burned it to disc using nero however when I insert the dvd-rw disc into my dvd-rw standalone player it is not recognised. Where am I going wrong? Do I have to change the framerate or something? Let me know if you have the answer. Thanks

And does you DVD player support avi's...and if so which avi's does it support?

How does copying itself in Vdub help in any way?

What are you trying to do/achieve?

A lot of DivX standalone players don't support QPel which is quarter pixel.

What DivX player are you using?
    snappy phrase

    I don't know what you're talking about.

  5. Having converted the xvid file to divx I have again tried to use it in both my dvd players and the disc is not recognised. The disc is fine cos I have tested it by copying some rubbish to it. Where could I be going wrong? Also my rimax player is also xvid compatible. I am burning it on as a data disc. I used virtualdub to convert it to divx 5 Pro, does this mean I should also change the framerate from 29 to 25? Any further suggestions as to the best solution to get it working onto disc just let me know. Thanks
