    DVD-R is TTG02. DVD+R could be RICOHJPNR02, CMC MAG.E01, or YUDEN000T02.

Easy enough to spot the YUDEN000T02 as the packages will be marked "made in Japan".

I wanted to make an extra copy of my Troy created with DVD-Rebuilder and kept having I/O problems ... DVD Decrypter ... kept failing and when I let it run through the errors without assistance ... I gave up and cancelled ... didn't have all night.

I think I will go back to Prodisk ... didn't have this much trouble with them.

But I bought two 50 packs [$20 bucks each] from CompUSA ... I still have a 50 pack of Sony to get into ... Staples last week sold'em for $20 bucks per 50 also. I bought two of them and gave one 50 pack to my daughter.

That's really messed up that TDK can't be trusted .... they used to have excellent reputation.

ADDON ... By the way ... the Sanyo DVD Player from Walmart ... it plays the DVDs I make with my Panasonic DMR E50S

Just curious, but what was the purpose of your "ADDON" other than to let us know you're possibly breaking the law yourself?

By copying a movie you own, and then taking it somewhere for different people, while still in posession of the original, is a no-no.. Leaving them at a halfway house (I'm assuming that's what you mean, since you say you work where they live...and they're not still in jail...) is basically like giving away free copies of that movie.. It's a very gray area - at BEST. Tread Lightly.

  10. ". Made in Taiwan " = cheap stuff.

Office Depot has 15 Maxell 8x for $4.99 + or -, mine were made in japan.

hehe Lacywest. Just be careful.. Not like anyones seeking out people who just copy them and leave'm etc...because technically they're still YOUR copies as long as you dont give them away...I guess that's why it's such a gray area.
