  1. for some odd reasson i use dvdsanta to convert a avi movie file into dvd and it did it all fine and when i burn it and try and view it on my dvd player it gave me sound but no picture now i did test the movie befor i did all the converting and everything and it played fine.

  3. i used windows media player on the avi file befor i convert it into dvd and it play fine sound was clear and picture was good but after converting it and burning it onto a dvd r all i get is sound and no video and i follow this guide on what all it told me to do.

    Try some other guide, using other applications. There isn't (and will never be) one application that will handle all and every AVI you throw at it.
    If you use GSpot to get the AVI specifics, post a screen shot of GSpot, surely we'll be more able to pinpoint your problem.

    Is it possible to play the output of DVDSanta before burning ? That will go a long way to confirming our suspicions that DVDSanta is the culprit here.
