  1. ...has expired, and I'm in dire need to use it - since I'll be away for three days, I'd love to launch a batch conversion before leaving.
    There's no trace of version 2.02 on the official site, is there any way to bypass the 30-days limit?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ed

    You can't bypass the problem. But you can do that:
    Delete the entire folder where you run tmpgenc from and then create the folder again, open the tmpgenc.zip file, extract at the folder you created and you will have 30 more days for MPEG-2 use.

    To reset the 30 day trial period for TMPGEnc delete this key in the registry;

    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]
