  1. Hi, yesterday I posted a question about dual layer media and was told that they are about 30 to 40 times more expensive than single layer. I've just been looking through ebuyer and have noticed that they are selling a pack of 10 d/l discs for £7.61 inc VAT. Can someone please confirm this is correct as most places I have looked charge this for 1.
    Cheers.

    It's a scam.

Probably a Dual Layer "KIT" = one Dual layer disc and one RW and eight normal +'s or -'s

No way it's actually 10 Dual Layer disc

I have seen those "Dual Layer Kits" at stores and online.

    Read the details.

  6. I can't seem to find anything that says what is inside. The address is
    http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=4508182918&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdW...duct_uid=80352.
Try that and post your comments please.

  7. I've noticed that the link doesn't take you exactly to the correct page. If you scroll about half way down you'll see a picture of infiniti dual layer discs, click on that and it will take you there.

  8. Sorry that doesn't seem to work either. When the page opens scroll down until you see the heading brands on the left of the page, click infiniti, when the new page opens click on all infiniti products. Scroll to the bottom and it should be on the third page. It has a picture of a normal case not a cake case.

    I looked around the site.

There is very little info on the discs. Not even what speed they are. If they are 1x's speed Dual layer they take 2 hours to burn a full movie.

No indication that it is a "KIT" scam, but something is fishy.

Also they don't have any in stock.

I am not from the UK is Ebuyer reputable?

I am in the USA so I have never heard of them, so I can't judge them.

There is two actual reviews for this product on thier site (one the "reviews" is actually someone asking a question.) The reviews are from December. The Reviews don't say what the price was in December. Also the names sound fake.

But if Ebuyer is Legit go ahead try and post here.

I if it for real I will import some of those. Even with money conversion and international shipping those would be much cheaper than anything I have seen for Dual layer Media.

But be wary. Maybe call them if they have phone find out when they will actually get some in stock.

They might just take orders now and then deliver when prices are actually that low.

It just looks too good to true and they say if it looks to good to be true it probably isn't true.

If it is true though please post.

Oh yeah that's another weird thing about those discs.

Usually affordable media comes in Cake boxes or just shrink wrapped with no case at all.

I have never seen affordable media that comes in individual Jewel cases.

  11. At that price, I'll import a few thou and sell em to everyone!
    At $33 for a 3 pack here...
The picture they show, is of ONE single disk, not a 10 pack...I think someone screwed up.
Order a bunch quick, before they discover the error.

Edit: I just ordered 999 of them (the largest number I can input).
    Shipping is £249.00
    Weight is 879.12Kg
    Total cost is £7593.78
    That's only $17,178.14 CAD!

How long do you think it'll take to get them here? :P

  12. There's a review that states they're ritek dye and that he's burned 5 so far. Is sounding legit. Buy a bunch, if you don't like them, you could always put them on ebay and make a profit.

  13. To let you all know, i've received an email from ebuyer and the real price is £25.99+vat. They will be changing it when they have new stock.
