beta 8 problem

ok just installed new beta 8, just tried to use .avi with mp3 audio but i noticed that when its runnin the log file dont show any audio details just that its processing the avi file.so when its completed i have a perfect dvd video with no sound..am i missing something here like a setting or do i have to use something else to convert audio first..thnx

ok m8 just re-installed ....however i just tried to make a dvd with 5 episodes on it all in .avi format went thru step by step adding all in 1 at a time into 5 vts files made menu etc etc now when i go to author it starts ok but around 3 to 4 mins into job i get a microsoft error report saying theres a problem with ffmpeg.exe so when i click on dont send the programme tries to carry on again with the second avi but then locks up the pc altogether... any ideas plz..thnx
