OK I bought a three pack of Verbatim Dual Layered DVD+R. I ripped three movies (videos files in the VIDEO_TS folder, did not rip an iso) and I burned the VIDEO_TS folder using Nero at 2.4x speed. All three moves lock up when you fast forward, and the only way to unlock it is to move up a chapter. Is it the discs or my DVD player? I believe I have a three year old Toshiba, it plays single layered movies fine.

Toshibas have problems with the DL discs from my experience with mine and reading around a bit. Neither the Verbatim DL or the Ritek DL work in my newer Toshiba 3950 but both play flawlessly in my cheap Desay and my old as the dust Philips 711.
If you are unaware there is a class action lawsuit against Toshoba right now going on to upgrade the firmware at no charge to the consumer.
If you Google search you should be able to find it. Hopefully that could correct your problem also.
