I'm trying to make an ISO image of a dvdr I've made. I'm using dvddecryptor to create the image. The problem is the dvd was made on the horrible Prodisc R03 media, and when decryptor gets to 98% it its errors (retried 18 times). Anyone know how I could get this dvd back on my computer?

  2. Try ripping it to yr HDD in file mode and determine which file it's choking on.

You coul strike lucky and find it's only an.ifo or.bup file, in which case you can easily use it's counterpart with a rename to rescue it.

Also if you haven't already, try ripping with your burner.

  5. Right ... if it's an .ifo or example that it cant read .e.g. VTS_01_0.IFO then just copy the corresponding .bup file e.g.. VTS_01_0.BUP out of the folder and rename it to VTS_01_0.IFO and move it back in.

This will work because the content of .ifos and .bups is identical.

    Hope that makes sense.

Well, I just ripped a movie yesterday with hundreds of errors (it took four hours) but it played almost OK. There were some pixellated scenes in it but no real big deal.

    I wish you good luck.

Easy Way = Watch it, it tells you which file it is working on.
Hard Way = Skip when it has a problem and compare copy to original and see which file is missing
