  1. I just bought Resident Evil Apocalypse on DVD and I tried to rip it so that I could encode it with AutoGK. I tried using DVDDecrypter version 3.5.1.0. But once it started about 16mb into the ripping it will just stop and not continue. The DVD is still spinning but the info shows that nothing is being ripped. My DVD is brand new and has no scratches so I don't know why it just stopped. I was wondering what I could do to fix this. Is there some simple solution that I am not aware of? I like using DVDDecrypter because it is easy to use. Is there another dvd ripper that is just as simple to use? Anyone ever had the same problem? Thanks.

That movie has given many people the same problem,it seems that it's the file structure. I ripped the movie with vob blanker whiuch is also free removed all the extras and finished with clone dvd.

Save it and change the extension from .txt to .psl
Now in Decrypter load the movie and click on file menu, protected sector list, and import. Find the .psl file you saves and load it. Now try ripping it and see if it works.

Solutions here (same as Poppa_Meth's instructions above) and here (using VOBEdit instead).

    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. i tried using the imported psl text file for dvd decrypter but that did not work for me. so instead i used VOB Blanker to rip and that worked just fine for RE2. thanks for the tips.

  6. Anyone tried the new version of DVD Decrypter on it? I don't actually have the movie yet to test it. Supposedly support for the new protections, which I'm assuming means this one, has been added.

The new version,3.5.2.0 rips RE2 without difficulty. It replaces the bad sectors as it rips. So ends Sony's copy protection.

  9. It is great to hear that the new version of DVD Deecrypter works for this issue. When do you think DVD Shrink will update to solve the same problem?
