  2. Use TSCV/VCDImager to author your disc, and include your player and autorun in the filesystem.

    There is a nice autorun player included with VideoPack5, which it includes by default if you use it to author your VCDs. But VideoPack5 is $500 and it BSODS under XP everytime. If you've got the cash and you don't run XP it's a good alternative, or there is one called I-VCD player on the tools download page on this site.

    Then it will autoplay in a PC, and still play normally in a standalone player.

  4. Parsi,
    The Autorun is a text file by name autorun.inf
    You just create it using a text editor or notepad etc.
    It contains the lines like below :
    [autorun]
    open=vcdplayer.exe

    You can search the web on its syntax. The vcdplayer.exe is the name of the executable to run. It should be present too.
    Hope this helps

  5. The following assumes you are using the free I-VCD player from the tools download page.

    Install the I-VCD player.
    From the folder you installed it to, get GUI.DLL and i-vcdp.exe and copy them to another folder.
    rename i-vcdp.exe to i_vcdp.exe

    make a text file called autorun.inf with the following contents:

    [autorun]
    OPEN=i_vcdp.exe

    Then include that file, along with i_vcdp.exe and gui.dll in the root directory of your VCD. You can do this with VCDImager, or any other VCD authoring app that lets you put additional files on the VCD data track.
