Anyone tried playing an anamorphic SVCD on the 642?
I tried and the AR was screwed up... (stretched vertically) I have a non-ws tv and tried changing to the 16:9 setting on the player and it unfortunately didn't fix it.
I guess this setting will not squash the picture so it looks correct? Is the only option to rewrite the file w/ a 16:9 header w/ DVDpatcher?
Thanks.

If the video has a 16:3 aspect ratio, there's nothing you can do to fit it on a 4:3 TV other than recoding it, heh.
Every VCD/SVCD I've burned (Over 20) has worked fine on my DVP642. -
Can't be done. 16x9 aspect ratio is only supported at 720 vertical rez. SVCD is only 480 (or 352).
