  4. baker if your talking about resetting the mpeg 2 limit for TMPGEnc try this:
    open notepad

    copy and paste:

    REGEDIT4
    ; Enables TMPGEnc's MPEG-2 encoder for 30 more days.
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]

then save as (use the copy and paste function here too, with the quotes )

    "TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg"

this will create a registry key

save it in your desktop documents folder and double click about once a week and your mpeg 2 period is extended

Baker your rite im on the net too much but im on the net beacuse i want help people like you with there (S)VCD problems

  5. I don't know if Panasonic is really better with regard to Macroblocks. It's been a while since I last tried Panasonic, but in my opinion the overall image quality, especially with regard to colours, is not as good as TMPGEnc.

If you want to reduce Macroblocks, I'd suggest turning on the "Soften block noise" option under "Setting/Quantize Matrix" (leaving both settings at 35 works fine for me).

As Pinoy says, more recent versions of TMPGEnc have a number of bug fixes, espeicially with regard to stream handling. Older versions of TMPGEnc (up to 0.12f or so)sometimes caused sync to be lost temporarily in the middle of an mpeg-file, but I haven't seen this problem in the later versions.

  11. Thanks for the info TMPEGEnc. I have been looking for a week now for a way to extend my eval period. I even tried the official website to pay for the program. You can't even do that.
