Well it's gonna be Michigan and Texas in the Rose Bowl

I figured since the bowl season is almost upon us that a new thread would be in order instead of the cluttered college football 2004 thread.

I'm at work and can't access sports sites - can anyone else post the current BCS standings????

I won't be rooting for Michigan either so that makes us even.

I usually don't follow college football.


There are too many bowl games and there is no playoff system.

The national championship bcs bs is flawed.

I watch the pro's where you have a real winner.

College football has it's problems but the NCAA does a pretty good job of policing itself. Look at Maurice Clarett of Ohio State -hasn't played all year and won't due to alleged gifts and his try to go to the NFL prematurely.

Well Notre Dame lost pretty bad last night. Didn't watch it but I guess that's to be expected after a coaching change

The BCS is flawed that is for sure, practically the only NCAA (Div I to III) sport that does not have a playoff system. Money talks and the BCS keeps walking. Anyway I will be in Pasadena this weekend rooting for the Horns, since I went Texas. The Rose Bowl to me is a once in a lifetime opportunitty for the Horns and may never play in the Rose again.

Not really. When the smoke clears, everyone always checks and see how the conferences stacked up against each other. So this OSU win was actually a good thing. Even though they have been thumping our butts three out of the last four years.

Well it's all over.

USC SMOKED OU! 55-19

I only watched the first half. With a 38-10 halftime lead it was pretty obvious OU wasn't capable of scoring 4 td's to tie the game.....

That muffed kick off return that led to another USC toucdown in the first quarter KILLED OU. That switched ALL the moment to USC....
