Well the Lions are done (no playoffs) and the Michigan football team was blown out in their bowl game. I had no college or nfl football to watch that I was interested in this weekend.

I was football free this weekend. I actually did other stuff this weekend. Nothing life altering or adventurous. But I actually wasn't tied down for 4 hours on Saturday for college and 4 on Sunday.

You can do a lot more on a weekend not glued to the tv for just one event. Don't get me wrong I still watched a lot of tv and still played games and all that. But I wasn't throwing my self at one event like I do for football.

I will be slowly getting into hockey again with playoffs a few months away. I have never gotten into basketball but I'm sure I'll catch some of March Madness.

    ------------------------------------------

Believe it or not I have only watched one full bowl game this season and that was the Michigan blow out loss. I love football but when the teams I follow (UofM for college and the Lions for NFL) aren't playing I don't really pay attention to it. I am following the whole Michigan coaching hire search of course.

    ------------------------------------------

How about you? Are you getting by without your regular football fix now that the season is ending? Is your team still in a bowl or the nfl playoffs?

Do you follow a particular team if yours isn't in a bowl or the playoffs?

Do you care about football at all? (US football college or pro is what I am referring to - CFL fans can chime in if you want to).

It has been kind of refreshing though not living and dying to every play that is going on.

Absolutely. The Lions finished strong this season and Michigan will get a coach whose neither Rodiguez nor Harbaugh and they may even have a defense next season. Things are looking optimistic in the Wolverine State for next season.
There are no problems - only chances to excel.

Just don't expect them to go 11-1 in the first year. We don't even know who the coach will be.

I'm just hoping whoever they get teaches these players how to TACKLE!!!!!

You gotta have a backup team to root for.
I usually go for the underdogs, has a certain satisfaction when they win.
