    hi all.

I have burnt several discs with "mpeg's" on them to join at a later date.
I tried to drag & drop them on to desktop but keep "getting cyclic redundancy check" is the an alternative way of ripping them onto my HDD as in DVD dcpyter?? Rem, these are plain old mpeg's.

    ??Would "SmartRipper" work?

CRC errors usually mean a file on the disk is corrupted. May be that the media you used to store them on is either poor quality or dirty/scratched. You could try setting the Ignore Errors flag in DVDDecrypter and see if that works.

dvd decrpter does not accept mpeg.

discs are ok as I can watch them on dvd player & puter. All I need to do is get them on to my hdd to join.

Just because you can watch them does not mean they are fine. When playing on your PC or DVD player, small errors can be ignored and you porobably wouldn't notice the errors on the screen. When copying to your HD, these errors cannot be ignored as the 'puter is trying to make a bit exact copy of the data file.

Try cleaning the disks gently with soap and water or use a commercial disk cleaning repair product like Skip Doctor.
