I am currently using optodisc with no problems so far. I should say that I burn at the lowest possible speed and don't fill the disc to the edge. I try to set the disc size for 4200. So far no problems but I have only been burning these for about a month. Mabee 20 burns so far but no coasters!

Anyway, after a bad experience with Optodisc DVD-R, I will never touch that brand again. I have never tried their +R but the popular consensus seems to be that they are worse than the -R.
Personally, I don't see the point of buying those discs. For less than a dime more a disc including shipping, you can get Prodisc which is a much more reliable media. Even if you burner ends up loving these Optodiscs, your chances to start with are better with Optodisc.
Good luck and make sure to tell us about your results towards the end of the spindle. -
well I went threw about 25 dvd+rs. All dvds burned w/ Roxio was successful, but the speeds from 1-4x kept changeing. Never once did the speed constant.
I think some did fail while after watching it on my dvd player. Lock up and pauses occured.
I have used ProDisc -r's and they were very good. I just figure i tried the Opto since they were a steeler price. But like eveyone says, you pay for what u get.*New Mac user*, been PC user 4 life -
