    hi i currently have a spirit capture card which is about 4 years old and the quality is terrible i mainly use the capture card to play PS2 games on my computer and occasionally for recording programs i would like to know what type of hardware will result in the best picture quality a analogue capture card, digital caputure card or a video grabber http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=175&item=3864222017&rd=1

    That device being sold from the link you gave looks like it is a piece of shit. I would not suggest buying that. If you do decide to purchase it anyway you would have to capture you audio through your sound card.

    This is from the item description of the product you are looking at in the link you gave.

    Audio is connected directly from the source (Video, Video Camera etc) into the soundcard of your computer.

    so what would you recomend? and i realise you captur the audio with your sound card my current capture card has to be plugged into my sound card aswell

    How much are you willing to spend.? Are you going to be doing alot of captures? What will your sources be? Are you interested in recording TV also because there are many tv tuner cards that capture analog video as well.

    i would like to have the option for tv tuner but its not a must the input will be DVD quality as they are from PS2 games and i am looking to spend about $120AUD

    Are you looking to capture straight to mpeg-2? Because I have only read good things about Hauppauge cards.

    The PVR-150,250, or 350 would be a good buy, they are pretty much the same. We have a member here (yoda313) that really likes his WinTV-PVR-250. Maybe you can ask him about any specifics that you would like to know about.
