SVCD by TMPEGEnc?

Are you able to Rip a DVD with Smartripper, take the vob files and convert to avi with DVD2AVI and then open up TMPEGEnc and load a SVCD Template and create a super vcd that will burn on NERO. This is what i have done and Nero will not burn it and none of my media programs won't play it either

Please help by fixing my method or telling me your own methond on creating a SVCD

A few questions. Did you split the file? If so, when you split the file what did choose in the drop down menu when you split? If you don't choose SuperVideoCd (or something like that) then the default option will give you errors. Second question, did you choose in Nero to burn a SuperVideoCD? Or did you just choose Cdrom? I know that may sound silly, but those are two really common problems.

yes, make sure you load an SVCD template in TMPG. they will work with nero

also, don't use the wizard to make an SVCD. it only lets you pick VCD. turn the wizard off and pick "new layout" and scroll down to SVCD. there's a separate format for VCD and SVCD
