  1. Hi, can someone please tell me if using dual layer hardware/software would create a perfect copy and also have less problems than single layer.
    I have yet to find something that doesn't have problems somewhere down the line. It's not much more money for dual layer equipment and if it does improve the quality and the problems I think I will get it.

    It is almost a 1:1 backup. - The encryption is removed

    Less problems - No - There are more problems.

    There is only a 30% compatibility rate.

  3. Right now only DVD+R DL is out wait until DVD-R DL comes out should be better.

    (sorry, was doing a forum search, and this thread came
    into play here )

    What's the differerence beween +R -R for DL writers ??

    .. I'm thinking of picking up a DL burner (maybe soon)
    .. cause I want 9k CBR encodes, @ maximum quality
    .. for my 1 to 2 hours+ capture projects.
