I bought a new DVP-NC875V and I tried a lot of ways of do it multiregion. I tried all the hacks posted for older Sony DVD player but it didn't work. I finally tried with the omniremote software on my sony clie palm, with the 1,2,3,4,5 hack. It turns on the player, then it turns it off but nothing more happens. I think we are in the same problem so we can stay tunned. Any sugestions?. Regards.

  3. I'm also looking for hacks for the Sony Sony DVP-CX985V. I have omniremote and I'm also an active JP1** hacker so if it's 'remotely' possible to hack this Changer then we should be able to figure it out. I'll post back here if I find any hits.

**I like the convenience of a 400 DVD changer but the playback functions available for this particular Sony totally suck--especially since it should be a strength with a Sony DVD. The remote that comes with this player also totally sucks. There are just a bunch more commands available than that rinky-dink remote comes with--and many of the functions that are buried several menus deep like [/i]A-B Repeat[/i], can actually be activated with just 1 correct code sequence...All of which you could do with Omniremote I suppose, but a Universal Remote with a JP1 interface is a lot easier to manage.
