  1. I have VCD which I can not play on my DVD player(Pioneer DV-434) I have other VCDs which works great. This VCD works fine on computer in media player 7.1 but for some reason it would not play on DVD player. I have codefree DVD player, but I do not know which format the VCD is in may be this is a problem...Can any body help me

  2. I've not seen a Standard VCD that doesn't play on a Pioneer DVD Player, so i'm rather curious, how was that VCD encoded and is it standard ? if it's not, what settings is it in ?

  3. I able to play after converting dat file to mpeg and re-burn it to VCD. I bought that VCD I do not know any thing about it except that it is a VCD.

  4. Go here: http://www.medialab.se they provide a free program called MPEG Prop v1.0, drag your MPEG/DAT file into it, or select the Open File from button, and once you open it, the program will give you details on your movie, the details we need here are:

    Video bitrate
    audio bitrate
    screen resolution

    After you give those, we can figure out what type of file it is and what to do with it
