  1. I have the 642 and have had problems playing DTS tracks burned as files to an ISO DVD. It seems like the player recongnizes the files because the icon next to the file is a "DTS" icon. but it just stalls when I try to play the file. I have only the coax connected to my amp and have no problem playing regular DVD's with DTS sound (Lord of the Rings, etc...). Has anyone tried this and had positive results?

On the same DVD I had burned MP3's and they play fine. The DTS's just sit there with the counter at "00:00:00" They play fine with VideoLan or other DTS aware players on my PC.

Also, I have upgraded to the latest firmware.

    Thanks in advance,

    -Dave

  3. BJ_M,

I'm sure that would work. I've played DTS CD's burned with nero from a .WAV and .cue and they turned out fine. I was making a DVD filled with christmas songs to play and I happened to burn some DTS files on to the same ISO DVD (files). The menu came up and the files were displayed with the DTS icon so I figured it might work. at the least it should pass these through to my receiver which has DTS decoding.

  6. hoppy,

    Thanks for the info

Well, then it's either my splitting the .WAV file or my connection to the receiver. Hmm... did you have to do anything special to the DTS .WAV file? Do you have the optical or coax connection to your receiver?

I'll try a couple of other DTS files this evening and see if that's the problem.

    Thanks again,

  7. I didn't realize that they were dts.wav files specifically. I was refering to data discs that contained avi(dts) and various other formats. I have tried regular wav files and haven't been able to get them to work, even though a media icon shows on the screen, so I'm assuming that a dts wav won't work either. Sorry for the confusion.
