    Can anyone tell me were 7 pin S Video cables are used? How are they different from the more common 4 pin S Video?

    It's not a standard S-Video connector.

    If it's on a graphics card it is most likely for a proprietary breakout cable like the one above.

    They can all have different pinouts. Use the cable that goes with your card.

    I think the 7 pin connector is on a graphics card. I've had a few ATI All In Wonder video cards so I'm familiar with the breakout box connector. This is the first I've heard of a 7 pin S Video connection. Oh well; I guess you learn something every day.
