    Unfortunately with Memorex you never know. I have bought more than one 50 pack at a time on many occasions. I ALWAYS get more than one manufacturer and a few times I have gotten three. One time I got 4 different media codes in the same purchase. That is why I do not buy Memorex. I have gotten optodisc (crap) from them more than once. If you want to find out who made your discs download DVD Identifier. It will give you the media code and manufacturer.
    The real answer lies in completely understanding the question!

    I agree, it is impossible to tell. The media listings give four different manufacturers for the 4X speed disks. Sometimes, you can eliminate some contenders by looking at the "Made In" indication on the box or spindle. I guess I have been lucky because the 5-pack I bought has been working well so far, including a beauty I burned today.
