I have my .m2v and .ac3 streams. The .ac3 plays fine before I author, but when I author my dvd, I come out with .vob files where the video plays perfectly and PowerDVD says there is a Dolby Digital 2.0 96kb/s 48kHz stream present, but I get NO AUDIO, on either my computer, or my standalone pioneer player...HELP???!!!

Here's an interesting twist, when I muxed using the mpeg tools in TMPGenc, the resulting file was perfect. I am curious as to why. It says to me that there's nothing wrong with my .ac3 stream, but how do I now go from mpeg to vob? Since it's no longer elementary streams? Is there an authoring tool out that will do it? Tried the one from Cuesoft........just sat there and did nothing?

Will DVDAuthorGUI ever support PCM wav audio? Or more importantly does DVDAuthor even support PCM wav?
Liquid217, you have said that DVDAuthorGUI will load vobs as source video. How about a guide showing how to do this, especially with regards to setting chapters.

mcpogue, just because you multiplexed the streams into a program stream and it plays does not mean the fault isn't still with the ac3 stream. It probably greatly depends on your playback filters, and how they are configured. Try playing your authored dvd in another dvd player, such as media player classic. Im still betting the problem is with the ac3 stream somehow.
dphirschler, your question doesn't really relate to the topic, but I will try to answer anyway. Dvdauthor does support a pcm stream. However, the gui does not support a pcm input, since most pcm streams are in wav format, and mplex doesn't know what to do with the wav header.
I don't see a point to writing a guide on vob input, since, its just a matter of selecting that option in the 'files of type' dropdown box -
What I was getting at was if DVDAuthorGUI supported PCM wav, he wouldn't have to encode the audio to AC3 in the first place. Of course he may want AC3 in which case that wouldn't help.
The problem I had with loading vobs was that my movie (which was three vobs I think) came in as three pieces. And I had no way to figure out where the chapter stops go. But I suppose that is for another thread.
