dvdauthorgui menu question/problem

I have never added a sound track to a menu before. I have a still with a 44 sec sound track and I would like the sound to loop, but it doesn't; it only plays once. I have tried stills lengths of 10 frames, 29 frames, 150 frames, 1380 (~46 secs) and played with a number of different "loop current menu" pauses. It always behaves the same, buttons work fine, but the audio only plays once. I am using dvdauthorgui 1.029. Any suggestions?

What player are you using to test this DVD with? I'm wondering if you might just be testing on the PC, and it will actually loop correctly on a set top box. Email me the configuration file (.dva) and I can look to see if something stands out. My email address is on the first few lines of the log. Send that too, since it has some specs of your files that might be useful in troubleshooting.

I have tested with 2 set top boxes, one Toshiba Blu-Ray and one Toshiba DVD recorder. Where do I find the log file? Thanks

It is generated when you complete the authoring process. It's usually easiest to just save it from there (when notepad is opened). It is also located in your user profile's temp directory (Appdata\Local\Temp\DVDAuthorGUI\).

This may be a silly question, but you are unchecking the "pause indefinitely" checkbox in the timeout menu options, right?

Yes its been unchecked and no, its not a silly question - I did not realize that was there until I had this problem, I then unchecked it and played with some of the choices. Have sent off the requested files. Thanks again.

I sent you a reply via email earlier, with a modified dva file which should do exactly what you need. I think you might have missed that checkbox, before customizing the XML. Let me know if you have any further problems or questions.
