    Ok im new to this and have burnt a few coasters. I think im gettin somewhere now tho! so any help appreciated. What im trying to do is turn movie avi's into vcd's. Im using TMPenc with the source of the avi for video and sound then burning with Nero. Im getting no errors, but no sound when playin back on my dvd player, also there appears appears to be no sound when playing the mpeg on my pc after conversion. I have followed the tutorials on this site, but i cant do it, any ideas???

    Try using an external encoder for audio. Its probably your TMPGEnc. Use "TooLame" as an external audio encoder. Confuse, huh? Don't worry. Its very easy. TooLame works with TMPGEnc. Just go to "Tools" and download it. Follow the instruction on the "Tools" page for TooLame. Good Luck Jordan
