I'll give TY the #1 spot, but let's see who's been doing their testing and can deliver the #2 spot.

No kidding, that's like a "Who do you trust with your least critical burns" list.

I would probably have to say that the RICOHJPN media I've used is even better than TY media, although they are similar in quality and both do well.
-
Why don't you use MEDIA CODES and be a little bit more specific in terms of if it is +R or -R and what speed.
Prodisc uses a bunch of media codes some better than others. Ritek's Ricohjpn +R media codes are generally considered better than some of their other ones.
Samsung and Dupez are BRANDS and use a variety of media codes. Samsung has been known to use top quality stuff like TY as well as garbagey stuff like BeAll.
I would consider Japanese Maxell MXLRG02 DVD-R discs to be of equal quality to TY. Also, the media that usually takes second place in such comparisons is MCC which is not up there.
From what is up there, I would have to pick Prodisc because that is my second choice media. By Prodisc, I mean both the ProdiscS03 media code and the MCC02RG2 code. -
Where are the Verbatim (read: good mcc)?
Where are the Maxell?
What is dupez?
What is this poll? -
RICOHJPNR01 & Japanese Maxell
