I'm using Premiere Pro to edit our wedding video. I have the whole lot in small sections so that I can use a menu and view each section (Prep, Church, Recep, Speeches, Evening) theyre all done (using PAL) and the total footage time is lasts 105 mins.

Now I need to figure out how to maximise the video bitrate for each clip. What I usually do is:

1. Frameserve the Video & Audio using Premiere Pro Video Server & use TMPGENC to create the MPEG2 files
2. Calculate the percentage of disk space that the footage will take i.e a 15 min clip will be 15 / 105 * 100 = % of space to be taken. I then calculate the % of 4200 and manually type that value into TMPGENC's "Estimated File Size Section".

I'm using CBR, a resolution of 720x480 & the video bitrate works out around 5700.

Is this the best way to do it? Is there any way I can get a higher video bitrate? Please explain in laymans terms as I'm still trying to understand the whole lingo that the video editing world has

Thanks in advance for any advice
