When VHS videos wear out they go flickery, can AVI's do that on the PC or can you watch one as many times as you like and there will be no quality loss??
Also what's the only thing to affact playback of movies on the pc the only 2 i can think of is bad fragments and a codec issue..is there anything else??

Hello,
No - DIGITAL files can never "WEAR OUT". All that can happen is quality loss from converting from one format to another. Or if they were improperly encoded in the first place

Hello,
The FIRST time you capture/encode a video to a digital file that is the BEST you will get it. So if you do the capture/encode properly it will look the best it will ever look in the digital form.
Use a video bitrate calculator found in the tools section under LISTS on the left of the screen. Use the proper bitrate first to ensure it will fit the target medium
