I believe you can just do a straight copy in nero or any other burning program with playstation games (I'm not sure, just from what I've read
). XBOX games are A LOT more complicated, but software such as Craxtion make it a fair bit simpler.
If in doubt, Google it.

For starters, you need to get your ps2 or xbox chipped. Secondly, I recommend you do a search for a thousand other related theards. If all else fails, go to xbox-scene.com or ps2rules(I think thats the name).com...they should be able to help you out.

Because I'm checking into which type to buy- Thought I might get some friendly advice from those who have a game & copy them to cd.
Was looking at the games, very expensive) and since I got a cd-dvd burner, thought I'd ask you nice people if they can be copied.
No need to be asses about it. Geez

and you need to get it straight, I am not an "ass" I am a "*******" and am working towards my "Whole Ass" Degree, so as I said before....

man.. dude.. you have not a clue.. it sure does show how to copy YOU OWNED movies for backup only.. if you were to READ the rules you oule know this.. and i challenge you to find one OPEN topic on this forum that there is something not legal going on..
you are getting this response from people because of your lack of self help attempt.. IE read other posts here..
and yes PS2 and Xbox games can be copied to CD but those are the CD versions..they are released on both.. if the game is on a DVD it will not fit on a cdr.. same as anything

Can't people reply and help new users without being so darn rude?
And I never said this site was doing anything illegal. I was surprise by his answer because of all the copying info on this site.
Goodbye!

I think I cleared it up a bit with a PM to spumerr. No need to pile-on
For clarification: Copying DVDs is illegal ...even if you own the original. But the Fair Use explanation makes the legality debatable, so it's allowed here ....at least until a legal precedent is set.
Copying a friend's game or DVD is not allowed ...it's illegal ...and it doesn't fall under the Fair Use definition.

Having been here for 11 months (and probably lurked for longer than that), I think most people (including the mods) would expect you to know the rules by now.
As mentioned though, this is videohelp.com, not gamecopyworld.comThe general feeling I've received from the dedicated gaming sites is that they're waaaaaay more elitist than here, if I were you I'd bury your head in a couple of thousand google pages, because the jibing you received here will be nothing when compared to the flaming you receive on the gaming sites for your lack of research.
EDIT: Shit, Cap, I've just woken up, wrote my first novel for the day, then you come along and cut my lunchIf in doubt, Google it.

Jimmalenko is right. It was that reference to the expense of legally buying the game, and the immediate mention of copying that earned you the yellow.
I think this thread has run its course
