  1. I have pinnacle 8 editing programm, I keep trying to save my camcorder data to disc as DVD, but to no avail. My computor keeps saying no drive supported. I can burn dvd's on it, so it is obviously working.

Anyone out there can help with simple instructions, I'm no computor wizard !!!!!!!!!

  2. Does any other burning programs find your burner? You do have a DVD-R drive capable of burning dvds not a cd-r or just DVD player right...?

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning.

Are you trying to download the DV video file directly to a DVD? Do you want to store the DV video file on a DVD as data or do you want it on the DVD in a format that can be played on a stand alone DVD player?

DV video from a camcorder can not just be copied to a DVD for play back on a stand alone DVD player. The video file needs to be converted to format that DVD players can read and understand.

A little more information would helpful!

  4. Have you checked the Pinnacle website to make sure that your DVD burner is supported by the program that you are using? I had a similar problem with Instant CD/DVD that was fixed by updating the program with a patch from their website (www.pinnaclesys.com).

  5. I can not burn anything with the dvd r / it is a DVD+ & - R player
    SO SHOULD WORK BOTH WAYS

I can save th stuff from my camcorder to hard drive no problem, but to then save that to disc - no good

I purchased the firewire with the editing programme, so it should work, could I have fitted the drive wrong ?

i would like to save it to DVD disc and watch it on a dvd standard player

I can burn DVD discs via shrink dvd so it burns
