  1. Are there any capture programs that can begin capturing at a certain time? I want to put a football game this weekend on my computer straight from the tv without taping it on vhs, but I am working for the first hour of the game, so I need a program that I can set to start at a certain time. Thanks for any help.

You don't mention which capture card you're using.

I don't know of many, but if you have a DVCII you're in luck:

You can create a scheduled task in windows to run a macro at a specified time. You can make the macro using something like MacroMagic so that it opens the program, loads your settings, then starts capturing. Similarly you then write one to stop the capture, or just stop it manually if you know you will be around. There is a guide on how to write a timer macro for ScenalyzerLive in the guides section, so pretty much follow that for your capture program.

I have found it to work really well for caps in the middle of the night
    If in doubt, Google it.

VirtualVCR will stop at a certain time... You can edit out the crap at the start later!

ScenalyzerLive captures audio and video - and plays them back. However, WinMedia9, or InterVideo WinDVD, will not play audio? Why so because?
