I have wasted many DVD's. Using videostudio 7 SE ver 7.01 and have followed step by step. Have read other doc's on "how to" but still no success. It seems straight forward but doesn't work for me. When I get to the last step and make sure all settings seem fine, I click the burn and it takes off just fine. It goes through the process and when finished, a box pops up reading it was completed successfully. I then remove the DVD, close the door, and close VideoStudio. I then open the door put the DVD in and the Windows Media 10 player launches to play the disk. At this point I have audio, but no picture. The background title screen is cut off 1/3 of the way from the top and ziz zaz lines apear in the top 1/3 of the page. Thats it, it happens each time. I'm sure it must be me but I have read, reread everything I can and checked each step of the process and still no success. Please, can anyone suggest something I may do to correct this problem. The DVD software is Roxio basic (current version) and my writer is a Plextor PX-712A if this helps. Oh yes, I have tried three different media types. All recommend brans. I have removed the Ulead VideoStudio7 and tried reinstalling without success. I use a Winfast 2000 XP deluxe capture card and use one of the default settings (DVD) which is Mpeg2. I have captured from their program and also captured directly from within the VideoStudio with the same results. System: P4, 1 gig mem, cpu 3.0, ATI 9800. Thanks

    Hi caveman,

    Welcome to the forums...

I don't know any of the tools you mention, but there are plenty of people here that do - so they should / may be able to help.

What I will say is to get yourself a re-writeable DVD disc so you don't make any more coasters.

    Good luck.

You are correct. I had decided to use a re-writeable the next time hoping to avoid trashing disks. Thanks again.
