  1. Hi. I have found guides on how to crop an avi file using v-dub. This works fine, but is it possible to keep the my avi file in DV format. The avi file using 'no compression' in v-dub makes the file HUGE.
    thank you.

When you saved in DV "format", you must have specified a codec to use. In virtualdub, specify this codec instead of "no compression". Job's right
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. It was origonally saved in DV format when I captured it into premier. I see the codec now. thanks.
If I re-save this file (cropped) using the dv codec, will this make the video file lower quality or will the quality remain the same?
