  1. Ive been testing the new beta for V2(i am a registered user), when I convert an AVI file to DVD the audio always comes out as AC3 audio, regardless of if the source has AC3 or not. The problem is the AC3 audio only plays through the Front L/R speakers and the Centre speaker on my surround set-up, the rear channels have nothing at all, This is the same problem I used to have when i used v1.5 and converted to AC3, if I use Mpeg-audio I always get dolby pro-logic sound in all channels. When I convert a svcd or an MPG file and select mpeg-audio it always creates mpeg audio. Is there anyway to fix this, and in the next beta will u be able to do divx/xvid conversions with mpeg audio? Other then that everything else s fine with the new beta, from a full days testing stability has been fine. Keep up the good work.

  2. OK, with some fiddling I have fixed the problem sort of, I de-multiplexed the mpg file that svcd2dvd created, then converted the audio to mp2 using besweet, re-multiplexed and then ran the new mpeg through svcd2dvd and i got mpeg audio that works great in pro-logic on my surround sound system. I would presume this could be automated and added to the program either by converting the AVI with mpeg audio initially or if not adding an optional extra step to de-multiplex,convert with besweet then re-multiplex before authoring. Could this be done chrissyboy?

You are correct. ATM AC3/MPA settings are ignored for AVI to DVD. It is on my list - to follow the settings for this type of conversion.

  4. Thanks, would make things a lot easier. Keep up the good work! One more suggestion for AVI-DVD conversion would be adjusting the bitrate of the conversion to fit to the disk size if that is possible
