Hi guys, forgive me, but I am a total newbie, and despite looking at the 'how to' guides on here, I am still struggling to create my first DVD.

I am using a demo of TMPGEnc DVD Author , and although I have used the guide on here, somethings are not clear.

I have 9 episodes of a tv program that I want to put onto DVD. They are currently in VCD format, and I have already read how to convert these to DVD format, which I have done. I now want make a simple DVD, where each episode has an icon to click on and play. (I am not bothered about adding chapters) However, after adding all the files into TDVDA, I find that it creates one long film with no gaps where the episodes start.

How do I do this? I want something very simple yet cannnot find a tool to do it. Maybe there is a real 'idiot proof' type tool out there that I can use?

  2. Chrisa, it sounds like you're adding all your clips to the same track. Each time you add a file, be certain it's to a new TRACK. Read up a little more and have patience, you'll get it. TDA isn't hard but you have to learn its foibles. BTW, adding chapters is quite easy, don't skip that.

    Good luck.
