Hi could anybody tell me if there is a program out there that will allow me create a motion menu and motion chapter buttons (like the CSI dvds).

I do have a number of programs like Ulead Video Studio, Ulead Video workshop, Spuce up and mpeg video wizard, but Ican't see a way of doing it.

    Thanks for any help

I haven't doen it but Ulead Workshop which you mention you have can create both motion background and motion buttons. That's one of the best authoring tools available, especially if your using Workshop 2.

This info is for 1 but should be nearly the same for 2. Go to the main menu screen, in the upper left select the menu tab. In the center left select (background)video from the drop down menu. Drag the video over to the preview.

For the motion buttons select the button tab in the upper left. In the center left select video from the drop down menu, drag a video over to the preview.

I think you must only be able to do it with dvd workshop2 pro, because my motion background is disabled.

Making the motion menu is just a video file.

I use adobe premiere and photoshop to make a mpg file for the motion menus.

The motion buttons...I just let TMPGenc DVD Author use the video file. However, depending on the program you use, you can create motion buttons out of other files. Pinnacle Studio 8 for example you can make motion buttons fairly easy. I you can do it in Ulead DVD Workshop...I use to use DVDWS but it's been a few years...I would have to be at home on my desktop to tell you how.

  8. Even with the trial.I think it will let you have motion for only 5 seconds,Full Version the video length, Just make a new menu and try to drag and drop a video file into it, it should set it's self as a motion background.

  10. Why not download the trial for DVDLAB and try that out. If you like it , it will only cost you $99 for the standard or $199 for the Pro version. I have the standard version and create motion menus all the time.
No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

Ulead DVD Workshop 2 does this. Excellent software, pretty much bug-free too, a rarity.

  12. MySonic DVD (which came free with a digital videocam, I think- it came withsomething I bought) does one video background, but all submenus will have the same background. Motion buttons are available as well. Both are limited to a maximum of 1 minute.

Can someone reccomend a program that will do different motion backgrounds for different screens? Or better yet, size-changeable buttons on the menu?

DVD Workshop.... It can do both. You can even make your own buttons in most formats such as .gif .jpg, .tga .... anything really. Not cheap though.
