I just ordered a Region 2 DVD (it's not available in U.S.) and would like to play it in my Daewoo DVG 3000n on a Sony XBR TV. I can change the Daewoo to Region 2, but I forgot about the PAL format. I'm worried the TV won't play PAL - should I be concerned and cancel my order before it ships or is this an easy fix?

look in the specs of you player and tv.. my player plays both pal and ntsc and the ntsc tv plays them.. BUT if you have trouble you could back it up and re format to ntsc.. there are guides here for that..

    Hi
If you can make the player region free it prob. will also convert from pal to ntsc, which if it does, you don't have to worry about the tv as it will already be an ntsc signal coming from the player.

Thanks everyone. I read a bit more about my DVD player and it's possible that it will do the conversion for me (it looks like a couple of the user reports show success.). I will post more if/when I find out.
