Hi, I'm planning on buying a DVD-Desktop-Recorder and I've heard the best ones are JVC and Pioneer. Could you guys point out the Pros and the Cons that I should look for on buying those? What I mean is thinks like: connections (SVHS, Composite, Component, DV, etc...) Capability of capturing PAL stuff, editing skills, quality of image etc...
Thanks a lot

oooooohhhhh, my, boom, sounds like you are trying to take the easy way out of the "research" thing. The search feature on the site is your friend. Use it up as you would your personal friend
Honestly, tho, and all kidding aside, dont expect your question to get answered swiftly or with many replies. Check this forum where guys/gals have already posted many things related to your question.
No flame, just advice. -
Yes, if you look through the thread titles in this section (DVD Recorders) you will find many posts regarding dozens of models.
I can tell you there is no perfect DVD recorder yet. All of them have some kind of annoyance, shortcoming or flaw. Certainly some are better than others in certain areas, however. It really depends on what you will primarily be using the unit for. -
Use the PC as the recorder to your HDD it's better and cheaper and you can count on your system to get the item recorded.... All DVD Recorders today have some sort of issue the cheaper ones is what most buy, but you get what you had paid for...
