Is it possible to set the maximum write speed of a Pioneer 108 to 8X for DVD and 16X for CD for better burns? The drive fails all the time to write CD-R's at 32X, but works fine at 16X. I also want to limit the DVD speed to 8X for better burns. I know I can set the limit every time I burn a disk, but sometimes I forget and some software don't have the speed option. It would be nice to limit the speed in firmware.

Some softwares have that in the options. Default max speed.
