  6. If you never use it, try uninstalling it and see if it will fix your problem. All i did was uninstall then reinstalled and it was fine.

A good practice is to use some software DVD player for all mpeg playback, like PowerDVD or WinDVD.

Ulead installs its own video filters which take over and i find cause problems, dont install ulead again or it will install the filters again, stay with windvd or powerdvd as mats.hogberg suggested.

I have Ulead Video Studio, WinDVD Creator and lotsandlotsandlots of other video related software, and haven't hade any trouble (yet) with anything besides WinDVD that just bombs out each and every time.
There might be something else that's conflicting with the Ulead filters - I always suspect codec packs in these circumstances - any chance you've installed any of those? (like Nimo?)

  12. if installed at lot in the past, but there nothing in my softwarelist left to delete, besides divx, xvid en dv encoder panasonic, so quess there gone, or should i search for those manually ?

otherwise i forget that ulead or just install it when necessary, thats not as much work as an fresh install ....

Also use tmpge dvd-author so i have options, though i like the menu's (and still picture) abaillity of ulead more ....

I also have Winavi convertor on my system and if i de-install it (tried) my Studio 9 won't work with dv-files anymore, so yes maybe i have a problem with codec conflicts or missings ...
