Hope this is the good section of forum ...
If i want to play a file which is mpeg1 decoded (doesn't matter if i downloaded it or if i create it myself - vcd for example)
I get an explorer.exe error directly if i click on the file ....
Do i miss a codec or else what is wrong with my os/machine ?
Everything with mpeg2/dv/encoding/authoring u name it is NO problem.
Thanx for help.

Yes but if you installed some programs just before this happend, this maybe the problem. Get what i'm trying to say? I know Ulead has done this very thing with me before..did you install any ulead programs?

yep some videosoftware which is de-installed cause i never used it (but long time ago).
At the moment i have dvd moviefactory installed, which i also never use ....
Deinstalling is the answer ? If so, how do u use use software if it comes with probs ?
Thanx for helping -
If you never use it, try uninstalling it and see if it will fix your problem. All i did was uninstall then reinstalled and it was fine.

Strange, everything works fine indeed after de-installing ulead dvd-moviefactory ....
Will try re-installing and see what happens.
Thanx sofar. -

I have Ulead Video Studio, WinDVD Creator and lotsandlotsandlots of other video related software, and haven't hade any trouble (yet) with anything besides WinDVD that just bombs out each and every time.
There might be something else that's conflicting with the Ulead filters - I always suspect codec packs in these circumstances - any chance you've installed any of those? (like Nimo?)

if installed at lot in the past, but there nothing in my softwarelist left to delete, besides divx, xvid en dv encoder panasonic, so quess there gone, or should i search for those manually ?
otherwise i forget that ulead or just install it when necessary, thats not as much work as an fresh install ....
Also use tmpge dvd-author so i have options, though i like the menu's (and still picture) abaillity of ulead more ....
I also have Winavi convertor on my system and if i de-install it (tried) my Studio 9 won't work with dv-files anymore, so yes maybe i have a problem with codec conflicts or missings ...
