First, I would just like to say what a great forum this is. I am relatively new at this and only started authoring disks a few weeks back but thanks to this site and helpful comments in the forums I am now confidently making my own DVDs.
DVDs with +RW media that is. The problem I have is that when I try to burn DVD+/-R they never seem to burn correctly - I just end up with a coaster. I have tried several media including Philips and TDK. I have an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 1.99 GHZ 256MB RAM. Burner is external Lite On SOHW 1213S.
I'm wondering whether this is related to another problem - although I know I have USB 2.0 on my computer, when I plug in the USB it tells me I have a HI-Speed device plugged into a low speed port - all the 4 USB connections are the same.
Having said that, though burning is a little slow, I make perfect disks with RW media.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
