Can someone tell me how to get your PC's Host Id as I need it to help me install some software? I'm running XP Pro SP1 Corp, I know you go to start then run and type cmd but I've forgot what to type in next???
Thanks
Will

at the command prompt type "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes)
the physical address is what I think you are looking for.
It should be 6 groups of 2 hexidecimal numbers, like...
1D-02-8A-B2-47-13"A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

Hi Will,
If you can see My Computer, right-click it, then Properties, then Computer Name. You'll see Full Computer Name. Mine is "P4Laptop" as that is how I called my computer.
If you don't see My Computer, click Start, right-click My Computer, then follow the same steps as above.
Hope that helps,
Dan
