Hello:
Has anyone tried this? I am using IFOEdit to try to extract ONLY the extended version. I believe the DVD uses "seamless branching" to create the two versions of the movie. I can see the 2 two PGC versions in IFOEdit but the option to select one branch or the other is always greyed out. The theatrical version is purportedly kinda lame but I've heard the extended is better so thats the only one I want to back up.
Can anyone point me to a guide or utility that might help - the ones I'm following don't seem to work (probably user error)![]()
Thanks,

FYI to anyone interested: DVD Shrink has some features that makes this easy, it detects both versions of the movie and you can select and extract. It didn't like the DVD so I extracted everything with DVD Decrypter first, but that was easy enough.
I'd still like to figure out how to do this with IFOEdit. -
Personally, I found the dynamic branching and switching and quality of the added scenes of the extended version to be problematic, distracting, and not advisable nor enjoyable. I found viewing the dvd in the theatrical version, and then viewing the deleted/modified scenes separately a much more effective viewing experience. These same comments apply to the "Ray" dvd.
