Hi I am new to this so please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for my question.
I am thinking of buying an iBook or Powerbook. However, due to shortage of money, I can only afford the new 14" iBook or the 12" Powerbook. I notice the main differences are that the 14" iBook has ATI 9200 32MB and a DVD burner while the 12" Powerbook has Geforce5200 64MB and no DVD burner.
Which would be a preferred model and please give me a little bit of explanation as I am not familiar with graphic cards? I will be using it for video editing using Final Cut Pro and AfterEffect.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

i would say the 5200 if the only point of you buying the computer is to use proggys like aftereffect. that extra 32mb is gonna make alot of difference.

I am actually researching this subject right now because I am in the market for a new video card. Anyway, I would go for the 5200 as well. Neither are spectacular though as you probably figured.

Thanks for your quick replies. I really want to get the 15" Powerbook as it has a better card but I guess I will go with the 12" Powerbook since I do not have enough money. Really appreciate your help.
