    I'm just curious what you guy think the best overal codec pack is available out there? I got one from a friend but he doesn't have it anymore and can't remember where he got it either since it was so long ago.

    None, you should only install codecs as you need them.

    Use Gspot or avicodec to test your files for the required codecs, install only as needed.

    installing those codec packs can hurt more than help. like thecoalman said just install the ones you need as you go

    ya know it would just be nice if somebody put together more of a zipped file with each individual codec instead of a pack.
