    Maybe this is a stupid question. I tried to edit some analog captures in Vegas 4.0e. But when I previewed the timeline, the image is totally unvieweable, although I can preview it perfectly in Trimmer. I tried every setting I could think of, but no luck. Finally, I recompress the raw AVI with a DV codec and loaded it into Vegas. Voila! Everything is fine.

    Is this the way how Vegas works? It only handles DV AVIs? I really hate to recompress my raw AVIs that I capped with Huffy.

    Check Always suggest RGB format for output in the Huffyuv configuration dialog.

    Funny, that's excatly what happened to me last night, but with Premiere instead ..

    Of course, erratic is correct..Problem solved..
